Where/when can I have my season pass photo taken?
Stop by our Great Falls office , or simply come to Guest Services the first time you come to the mountain.
Can I rent helmets at the ski area?
Showdown Montana believes that abiding to the Responsibility Code is the best option for safety on the mountain, therefore we do not require helmet use nor rent helmets. Skier’s Edge Pro Shop in Great Falls or at the ski area during the season offer a variety of helmets.
How do I get one of those ski lockers in the basement?
The ski, snowboard and boot lockers in the basement are rented by the season. There is usually a waiting list for the large lockers. To get your name on the list, contact Guest Services by calling 800.433.0022, or you can email your request to us – Just be sure to include your full name, phone number and the sort of locker you would like.
Can I go sledding at Showdown?
No. Sledding is not allowed on the runs while the lifts are in operation (9:30-4:00, Wed-Sun, plus Holidays). After operating hours, however, sledding adjacent to the lodge is popular with children while parents enjoy drinks, food, and live music.
Why don’t you offer group lessons for snowboarders until the children are 11?
Snowboarding requires the use of fine motor skills unlike skiing which requires gross motor skills. To explain, little ones can pick up the gross skills much easier and thus, can be ripping down the green runs within their first two lessons. Whereas on a snowboard, they’re still on the flats in the learning area. Children under 11 CAN learn to snowboard with our Little Shredders package. Getting on the chair lift is much easier on skis so for a newbie skiing would this hassle. Plus, if you learn to ski first, it’s that much easier to pick up snowboarding down the road.
