The YSL program will feature specific points of advancement for which children will be recognized in graduation ceremonies.
After mastering each set of skills, children will progress into more challenging groups. Here they will explore new terrain and the techniques necessary to ski it.
Groups will change each week as children progress into new groups, while ensuring ample attention for those who need more instruction in specific areas. This dynamic format will keep children interested and engaged, giving them more time on the snow.
YSL will challenge your child to develop the skills necessary for advanced programs like Team Extreme and Freestyle. This year, YSL graduates who have mastered all of YSL’s challenges will be rewarded with the opportunity to accompany the advanced teams on their annual road trip to another Montana ski area.
YSL will have an advanced class which will fine tune skills necessary for a challenging scavenger hunt to end the session. Don’t Miss Out!

All skills, skiers age 5-13 Snowboarders are not eligible for YSL, but check out our exciting Freestyle Team instead!

Join Yeti, for a mountain full of fun!
This is a great “warm up” program before enrolling in our other programs.
With a cool obstacle course and scavenger hunt, Kids’ Camp will get your child on the path to becoming a great skier or rider!
Days Dec 27-28-29 (Tues-Wed-Thurs) Times 10:00–12:00 and 1:00-3:00
All skills, skiers age 5-13; snowboarders age 8-13 (Must have minimum of 6 snowboarders signed up)

Freestyle Team

Freestyle Team focuses on fine-tuning snowboard and skiing skills with an emphasis on expanding into more difficult terrain and experimenting with freestyle maneuvers.
These maneuvers are applied to bumps, jumps, boxes, and rails. Kids can be goal oriented for competition or plain old all-mountain fun.
Team supervisors will ensure freestyle skill development while enforcing Smart Style guidelines.
Participation includes a supervised road trip to another Montana ski area.
All together, 36 hours of advanced instruction and companionship with a premier Showdown instructor.
For advanced skiers 8-15 and all level snowboarders ages 11-15. Age exceptions may be granted at discretion of coaches.
A minimum of 4 of each discipline for program to proceed.

Race Team

The Showdown Race Team provides a training program & race opportunities for skiers ages 7-18.
Paid and volunteer coaches provide different levels of coaching to meet the skill levels of individual athletes from beginning racer to expert.
On-hill training is provided. Coaching provided at each race event.
Days: Dec 17– Apr 7
