Here are some specific positions we are looking to fill:

Snow Sports Instructor

Snow sports instruction is an opportunity to work outdoors and teach others to enjoy the sport you love. Benefits include training in guest service skills, public speaking & personal riding/ skiing abilities. We also work on skill building towards PSIA-AASI Certifications. Instructors must have an outgoing, fun and warm personality and willingness to work with students of all abilities, ages 3 to 99.  Instructors are asked to assist with other tasks around the mountain, including program set up, event coordination and judging, learning area set up, snow shoveling, and terrain park maintenance.  Own equipment is preferred, but season-long lease of rental equipment is possible.  Advanced skiing/riding skills not required – we hire the smile and train the feet. Hours in this department are dependent on retail sales. As a full-time employee you are expected to be here every day of operation and will sign off on whether you would rather gain hours through keep busy projects or have the opportunity to go ski or ride.  Hours range from 2 to 6, more during holiday’s and weekends. 

​As a part-time employee, you are expected to be here on the days you are scheduled and will receive hours only after full time employees have been served. You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.  We do offer junior instructing opportunities for individuals 14, 15, and 16 years of age.  

Food and Beverage

Bar staff, cocktail waitresses, cashiers, bussers, short-order cooks, prep cooks, servers, dishwashers, and espresso baristas staff must be willing to work hard in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. This department interacts with every single guest at some point during the day and team members must project a clean, helpful and professional appearance at all times.  Experience desired, but may not take precedence over cleanliness and a smile.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description. 


Lift Operator

A safety oriented position, lift operators work with guests of all ages and abilities, loading and unloading lifts.  At all times, lift operators must be aware of their surroundings and very capable of working and communicating with Ski Patrol and Snow School staff.  Lift operators are required to check tickets, passes, and confidently discover scamming and report to lift supervisor.  In addition, lift operators perform other tasks including snow removal processes, load and unload ramp maintenance, and incident documentation.  Physical labor and ability to endure cold temperatures are crucial characteristics of any lift operator.  Lift Operators must be 18 years of age.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description. 


Rental Shop Technician

Technicians are detail oriented and responsible for setting boards, skis, fitting boots, and sometimes working POS programs.  POS requires basic computer knowledge including how to use credit card processing.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.  


Rental Shop Cashier

Cashier must be 18 years of age and the main job is to aid guests in completion of rental and lesson package forms.  Cashier is primarily responsible for guest relations and the knowledge of information.  Must be willing to handle money in a fast-paced environment, use radio communication, and perform other miscellaneous clerical duties.  Cashier works directly with Snow School Staff.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.  


Mountain Ticket Office

The Ticket Queen or King handle ticket sales, guest relations, information, and money handling in a fast-paced environment, including radio communication, and miscellaneous clerical duties.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description. 


Parking Lot Attendant and Guest Shuttle

Attendant must be 16 years of age.  Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays – Attendant is responsible for greeting guests and for effectively structuring parking lot.  Attendant is responsible at times for safely shuttling guests with Kubota and trailer.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description. 


Temps/Holiday Staff

Enthusiastic individuals, with big smiles willing to help any and all departments as needed during our busiest times.  Be on-call for holiday help, event support staff and filling-in when our team is short-handed.  This is an ideal position for students on college or high school break. Nothing like working at a ski area to freshen your mind for the next semester!  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.


Custodial

Clean and maintain base lodge on a nightly basis.  Custodial staff must be self-motivated and capable of handling physical demands.  Tasks include sweep, mop, vacuum, swamp bathroom’s, stock bathroom paper goods, set tables and chairs, dispose of garbage, and any other necessary task to make lodge as presentable as possible.  


Guest Services Supervisor

This position is all knowing and is integral to the day to day operations to Showdown Montana.  This position handles all pass sales, PE sales, and online sales.  This position is the main connection between maintenance, lifts, snow school, grooming, and mountain operations.  This position must learn a number of entities of operation and have the ability to discuss it with the guests, especially over the phone.  End of day tasks include recapping all point of sale transactions and prepping for follow up letters.  You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.
