Reports To: Terrain Park ManagerThe Terrain Park Assistant Manager supports the Terrain Park Manager in the daily operation, safety, and build quality of Showdown Montana’s terrain parks. This role helps , assists in feature construction and maintenance, and ensures the park delivers a safe, fun, and well-maintained experience for our skiers and riders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in building, shaping, and maintaining terrain park features to high safety and quality standards.
Help ensure a safe riding environment by following and communicating the Park Smart code.
Map, log, and document all feature changes, maintenance activities, and daily park operations.
Actively oversee and monitor guest use of the terrain park, addressing unsafe behavior and promoting park etiquette.
Communicate park needs with other departments including Grooming, Ski Patrol, and Mountain Maintenance.
Assist with terrain park events and competitions, including setup, feature builds, maintenance, and supporting event operations.
Provide leadership and support to seasonal park staff, contributing to training and workflow.
Participate in on-snow labor, including early mornings and adverse weather conditions.
Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming park culture.
Requirements:
Experience in terrain park operations or related on-mountain work preferred.
Strong skiing or snowboarding ability with confidence riding park features.
Ability to safely operate tools used in park construction.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions; able to lift 50+ lbs.
A commitment to safety, quality, and guest experience.

The Custodial position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the lodge on a nightly basis. Custodial staff must be self-motivated and capable of handling physical demands. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning of public restrooms, stocking bathroom paper goods, setting tables & chairs, garbage removal, and any other necessary task to make the lodge clean and lovely for the next day. Hours flexible as long as the lodge is clean by 7 am the following day. Couples welcome to apply!

Snow sports instruction is an opportunity to work outdoors and teach others to enjoy snow sports & love winter. Advanced skiing/riding skills are NOT required – we hire the smile and train the feet. Benefits include training in customer service skills, public speaking, personal riding/ skiing abilities & cross training. We also work with Instructors on skill-building towards PSIA-AASI Certifications. Instructors must have an outgoing, fun, and warm personality and willingness to work with students of all abilities, ages 3 to 99. Instructors are asked to assist with other tasks around the mountain that include but are not limited to: greeting, program set up, learning area set up & take down, snow shoveling, parking lot attending, selling lift tickets, event coordination and judging, and terrain park maintenance. Own equipment is preferred, but a season-long lease of rental equipment is possible at no charge. Hours in this department are dependent on retail sales; instruction hours range from 2 to 6, more during holidays and weekends. You may gain hours through working in other departments or ask your manager to sign off on you going skiing/riding. As a full-time employee, you are expected to be here every day Showdown is open during the 2023-24 season.
As a part-time employee, you are expected to be here on the days you are scheduled and will receive hours only after full-time employees have been served. You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description. We do offer Junior Instructor opportunities for individuals 14, 15, and 16 years of age.

Food & Beverage employees will most likely be cross-trained in many different positions, including but not limited to: cashiers, bussers, short-order cooks, prep cooks, servers, dishwashers, and baristas. All F&B employees must be willing to work hard in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. This department interacts with every single guest at some point during the day and team members must project a clean, helpful and professional appearance at all times. Experience desired, but may not take precedence over cleanliness and a smile. You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.

A safety-oriented position, Lift Operators work with guests of all ages and abilities, loading and unloading lifts. At all times, Lift Operators must be aware of their surroundings and capable of working & communicating with other departments including Ski Patrol and Snow School staff. Lift Operators are required to check tickets, passes, and confidently discover scamming and report to the Lift Supervisor. In addition, Lift Operators perform other tasks including but not limited to: snow removal processes, load and unload passengers, ramp maintenance, and incident documentation. Physical labor and the ability to endure cold temperatures are crucial characteristics of any Lift Operator. Lift Operators MUST be 18 years of age. Technicians are detail oriented and responsible for setting boards, skis, fitting boots, working POS programs, and require customer service skills. Previous Technician Certification is not required, we will train & certify the right personality. POS requires basic computer knowledge including how to use credit card processing. Rental Shop Cashiers have a very important job, as most guests who come through the Rental Shop are new to the sport. Cashiers are responsible for aiding guests in the completion of rental and lesson package forms as well as selling lift tickets. This requires customer service skills, and the willingness to learn about all rental and lesson packages, lift tickets, mountain information, and guest relations offered. Cashiers must be willing to handle money in a fast-paced environment, use radio communication, and perform other miscellaneous clerical duties. Cashiers work directly with other departments including Snow School & Guest Services. You may be asked to perform tasks outside of your specific job description.

The Ticket Queen/King handles ticket sales, guest relations, information, and money handling in a fast-paced environment, including radio communication, and miscellaneous clerical duties. The Ticket Office is open on holidays & weekends in the morning, and is often a position filled by employees in other departments such as Snow School.
