Physical Education Program

Each winter, Showdown Montana teaches thousands of school children to ski or ride through their school’s physical education program. School groups may come any day the school operates and Showdown Montana is open. $30 fee includes 2-hour lesson, ski rental, and skill-appropriate lift ticket; and nobody is turned away because of lack of ability to pay.

Schools are welcome to email the PE inbox at any time to request a ski day for the 2026–27 season. Requests will be reviewed and responded to in the order they are received beginning July 1. We are not able to confirm or respond to requests before that date.

  • We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something biTo book your class for a PE Day, email peprogram@showdownmontana.com with your school's name, the number of students you would like to bring, and your preferred dates. Our PE Program director will then work with you to schedule a date and complete the required paperwork. gger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Yes! Our partnership with Eagle Mount ensures that students with physical or developmental disabilities can enjoy skiing and snowboarding! Any student requiring specialized assistance is eligible at no addtional cost! Please reach out to Joe at Eagle Mount (joe.eaglemountgf@gmail.com) to arrange for their services! 

  • Pay the fees to your school, the school will then pay us in one transaction. All checks should be made out to your school! 

  • Yes, the program fees cover the lesson only, the fees still apply regardless of whether your child has a season pass. To participate in the PE Program, students must take a lesson. 

  • Lunch is not included in the program fees, however, we offer a $10 PE Program Lunch Deal. We also allow bagged lunches in the lodge for PE students. 

    $10.00 PE Student Lunch includes: 

      • Choice of hamburger/cheeseburger, chicken strips, hot dog, or mac & cheese 

      • French fries

      • Brownie or cookie

      • Small fountain drink of choice
